‘Trans’-forming Children: Indoctrinating for Transgenderism – by Jim Bratten

“Transgenderism” is being promoted as a desirable condition that anyone can choose at will. A condition that’s a mental disorder (gender dysphoria) is now framed as an acceptable “lifestyle,” not a medical condition, a psychological anomaly.

A new law was even proposed last September in California, its purpose to allow quick and easy gender changes. There would be three choices: male, female, and “non-binary.” But the “gender movement” in California is becoming ludicrous as legislators believe they can override natural law and essentially flip-off biology.

Several years ago, transgender “rights” became a cause célèbre in our government school system. Ryan Anderson of the Heritage Foundation responded by writing When Harry Became Sally: Responding to the Transgender Movement, a book in which he examined the issue through research in biology, psychology and philosophy. He painstakingly revealed the stark contrast between what you read in the popular press and the grim reality of those who suffer from gender dysphoria.

In his book, Anderson discussed the case of a school that allowed biological boys in bathrooms for girls. He stated, “Schools should protect the bodily privacy of their students. The reason we have separate bathrooms and locker rooms for boys and girls is not because of ‘gender identity’ but because of the bodily differences between male and females.” But schools are not “protecting” our children; they’re using them to promote sexual confusion.

And it’s not only pushed by American progressives. This story appeared last summer in the New York Post: “A gender study clinic for children in the United Kingdom… received 94 referrals in 2009-2010 and 1,986 referrals in 2016-2017 – a 2,000% increase.” Victims of sexual confusion are being created, at the youngest ages possible.

The latest ruse to lure children to accept this “lifestyle” as normal is the effort to place “drag queens” into classrooms and public libraries – offering a “story time” when males who wish to appear female read selected stories to children, engaging them in order to convince them they can change who they are. “Dressing up in costumes is fun,” they tell the children. A national organization has even been created to aid and promote the effort to condition our children: Drag Queen Story Hour, or DQSH.

At Maurice Sendak Community School, a public school located in Brooklyn, New York, a “Drag Queen Story Hour” was held for first grade students. Adult males dressed as women (formerly known as “cross-dressers”) read story books to children. One teacher at the school was ecstatic at the accomplishment: “During our debrief [students] were preaching the incredible lessons they had learned, like ‘it’s okay to be different,’ and there’s no such thing as ‘boy’ and ‘girl’ things.”

The DQSH website plainly states their intent: “DQSH captures the imagination and play of the gender fluidity of childhood and gives kids glamorous, positive, and unabashedly queer role models… kids are able to see people who defy gender restrictions and imagine a world where people can present as they wish, where dress up is real.” Now being a drag queen is something young Johnny can aspire to.

It’s coming to a school, library or bookstore near you. A few days ago, I discovered it’s coming to the Evansville Vanderburgh Public Library system, for “Children (0-11).” Public libraries may now assist in the intentional promotion of gender confusion among our youngest children. But gender is not fluid; God assigns sex long before birth. DNA and chromosomes are fixed. A biological boy cannot become a biological girl, even if a drag queen says so.

The American College of Pediatricians warns: “Conditioning children into believing that a lifetime of chemical and surgical impersonation of the opposite sex is normal and healthful is child abuse.”
