16th Annual Bill of Rights Day Celebration Was a Phenomenal Success

David Dickerson

President David Dickerson and the board of directors of Citizens For Liberty of Indiana hosted the 16th annual Bill of Rights Day Celebration at the downtown EVPL library on December 15th of 2018, with special guest speaker, Dr. Chuck Harding… and the presentation was outstanding.

According to his bio; “Dr. Harding is a missionary evangelist and the founder of Awake America. For more than 10 years he has conducted Christian Heritage and constitutional awareness conferences throughout the United States.

Dr. Chuck Harding

The Lord has put a burden upon his heart for our country and to help Pastor become more educated concerning our Christian Heritage, engaged in our Biblical role in government, and encourage others to entreat God’s mercy upon our embattled nation.

Along with over 25 years in the ministry, God gave him the unique opportunity of being the deputy commander of the uniformed protective Branch for the Diplomatic Security Service at the state department. From that experience, he is able to provide effective governmental assistance and advice for pastors and churches.”

Harrison H.S. ROTC

While this was not a religious or Christian-based event, Dr. Harding provided a plethora of in-depth information and understanding, revealing that many of our founding fathers were Christians, themselves, and designed the Constitution and the Bill of Rights according to specific scriptures which he provided in great detail.

Dr. Harding is an incredible historian, and was extremely eloquent, articulate and knowledgeable about our founding fathers, specifically detailing letters and journals of John Hancock, Benjamin Franklin, Samuel Adams, and even corrected a common historical mistake surrounding Paul Revere.

Jim Bratten

Dr. Chuck Harding’s presentation was a blessing to the local community as he invested his wealth of knowledge of such history into the men, women, high schoolers, and even small children of this great city of Evansville.

Educating each and every citizen on the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights has proven so vitally important in recent years as those who seek to pervert our founding documents have increased their influence in our culture.

Dr. Harding implored everyone there to further this education before we lose more of our God-given and Constitutionally-protected rights and freedoms.

Local resident, VIP columnist, writer of the Monday Morning Newswire, and head of the Vanderburgh County Tea Party Patriots, Jim Bratten, was honored with the Citizens for Liberty “Citizen of the Year” award for his undying and outstanding service to the community by standing up for the Constitution of the United States and the Bill of Rights.

Shannon Reid

Local area high school students participated in the annual Bill of Rights Essay Contest, and the candidates recited each of the amendments in the Bill of Rights before Shannon Reid (Shepherd Academy), who was the winner of the essay contest, recited her essay, noting the importance of each individual’s comprehension of our rights.

State Senator, Jim Tomes (2017 Citizen of the Year Winner), a strong and adamant supporter of – and fighter for – the rights of the people of Indiana was also in attendance, and was able to connect with Dr. Harding at the event.

Look for the 2019 Bill of Rights Day Celebration to be advertised here and in the October edition of The VIP.
