Faith: Where Are the Pastors & Leaders in this City?

Steve Ary

I know this article may cause a few people to be angry with me, but I’m prepared for that. My message is far more important than the mild persecution and accusation which may come my way. It is far more important than any pointing fingers or lost Facebook “friends”. This article is about the safety of children, and they are more important than any negative opinions expressed against me. I’ve got thick skin. I can handle that. But the children are not so tough, and they must be protected at all costs.

Drag Queen Story Hour is coming to Evansville. It’s coming to our taxpayer-funded EVPL North Park library… which is right beside a school. And the majority of the church is silent.

While we avoid the issue for fear of offending, and while we “love” to a fault, our local public library is setting a precedent which would allow adults… who have made sex-based decisions… to influence children… with those sex-based decisions. While we remain silent, the unwitting children of this city are being targeted for what the Drag Queen Story Hour folks deem as “grooming” our children. And the library has already announced that there will be no background checks on the drag queens. I’m sorry, but the safety of children is far more important than a drag queen’s “right” to express themselves.

The men who are dressed as women and act like women want to influence our youngest, most vulnerable, most impressionable children in this city, causing our children from 11 years of age and under to question their own sexuality before they can ever even attend a sex education class. And the drag queens will colorfully entertain our local children, grooming them, indoctrinating them, and even asking the children questions like, “Who wants to be a drag queen?”

If this program was really about encouraging reading, there are captive audiences in nursing homes all over this city in which the elderly would probably really enjoy being read to… but this is not about reading at all… It’s about an agenda that targets the children… and we all know it.

We can already have a look around us to see the effects of drag queens on children. We can see a 10-year-old boy dressed as a girl stripping at a gay bar in front of adults while receiving dollar bills for his sexual display. We can also see on the cover of a recently published magazine another 10-year-old boy dressed as a girl taking photographs with a fully naked man wearing only makeup, a wig and a tiny article covering his genitals.

Drag Queen Story Hour is currently being pushed in more than 40 states by the San Francisco-based non-profit. The scared, divided, confused and timid church across this nation sits silently while satan plans to set precedents that will systematically normalize pedophilia and demonize morality. The first of many of those precedents are currently being set in our Public Library… if we continue to do nothing.

Normalizing and legalizing pedophilia (that’s adult sex with children) is the end goal of this agenda. Eleven years ago, I read an article (that’s been confirmed repeatedly over the years) that described how pedophiles were eagerly waiting for the LGBTs to receive recognition for their orientation and gain protected status so that they too could push their fetish as just another acceptable sexual orientation while we choose to forget about the child victims of rape and molestation.

Most of the LGBTs don’t even realize what agenda they are really supporting, and many LGBTs oppose this. The ones who support it actually think that the event is about inclusion, diversity, or acceptance, but are clueless about the precedent this would set for MAPs (Minor-Attracted Persons). If they know that this is the fruit that normalizing such a thing would bear, the non-pedophile LGBTs would all very likely oppose it. Surely, they wouldn’t want children to be raped by pedophiles, would they?

Meanwhile, Christians meander about not knowing what to do or say, so they say nothing. Pastors are no better off. They don’t know how to deal with it either. So, they excuse themselves from doing or saying anything at all. Or they justify their inaction by fault-finding with those who do stand for justice and righteousness. Others are scared of being attacked and bullied by the LGBT community as has recently happened with Evansville City Councilman Justin Elpers. Still others may be so disconnected from what is taking place in their city that they are oblivious to such an event being scheduled. Ultimately, in timidity, people are scared of offending the LGBTs… even if it means standing up for the children. Entire churches refuse to do anything about it for fear of offending because they take the lead of their pastors.

Pastors and leaders who are afraid to act… teach their flocks the same and their excuse for inaction is “love.” “We must love the LGBT community, which means we must surrender to their every demand.” For we have fallen into the trap, been caught in the snare of what popular worldly opinion states… that we must agree with their demands or we somehow hate them. This is misdirection. We do not hate, and we are not trying to reject the LGBT community. We are trying to reject an unnecessary program and protect these children. Even the mayor of Evansville says there are “other ways to teach tolerance,” that this program is “divisive,” and that the “library miscalculated” this. If the mayor can speak out against this, why can’t most of the pastors and Christians?

Don’t be deceived. Christians have been taken-in by the carefully constructed and quite strategic lure of conversation – the tolerance or intolerance of differing lifestyles. This is a conversation that is a sure loss every time for any Christian that falls into it. The “debate of lifestyles” pits us as “haters” against them. It is satan’s strategy to draw us into this type of conversation. But most Christians are none the wiser, so we do what we always do when we don’t understand something, we address it like a bull in a China Shop or we altogether avoid it.

But Abraham didn’t avoid it. God chose Abraham because he loved justice. God blessed Abraham because he loved righteousness. God blessed him because he was a vigilante against the evil kings who took what was not theirs, and all at the expense of the people. They pillaged and enslaved the people and Abraham’s nephew, Lot, was one of the victims. Abraham fought for what was right and just… and he won. So, God chose Him to be the father of His people, and He blessed him.

Moses didn’t avoid it as he defended the Hebrew slave from the Egyptian taskmaster. Nor did he avoid it when it was time to stand before Pharaoh. He stood. He led God’s people and took them into freedom… because he didn’t shrink back from what was right.

Gideon didn’t shrink back either. He fought and won freedom for the people. Elijah didn’t avoid the battle, nor did Elisha, or John the Baptist. They embraced it… because it was worth it. The people being set free from bondage was worth it. Paul would never have avoided it. He risked everything many times over to bring justice and righteousness to the people, even the people who were yet to be born.

And David didn’t shy away from the fight. He knew what would become of God’s people if the Philistines had their way. He knew of the abuse that the people… and the children would suffer. So, he knew he had to stand and fight. He wasn’t afraid of Goliath because He knew that he was prepared in advance, that he was positioned to bring the giant down, and he knew that he was there in the name (power/authority) of the Lord. he knew that if he didn’t stand up against this giant, no one else would either. So he stood. And he won.

Jesus, Himself, wouldn’t hesitate to stand up against something that can so easily harm the little children. He is a lover of justice as we all ought to be. But where are we? Where are the Christians? Shouldn’t everyone who knows Christ be standing up against such a deliberate sexual influence of our children?

Where are the Pastors in this city? Why are they not standing up for righteousness? Why are they not standing up to protect the children? Have we all become so apathetic within our culture that we have become irrelevant to it? Who will stand up for these children?

The word of God says, “But if anyone abuses one of these little ones who believe in me, it would be better for him to have a heavy boulder tied around his neck and be hurled into the deepest sea than to face the punishment he deserves!” Matt. 18:6 (TPT)

And here we have those who would desire to influence these little ones to harm them in ways that might be irreparable… and the church is largely silent. Was it not Plato who said, “Silence is consent”? And Einstein said, “If I were to remain silent, I’d be guilty of complicity.” If this is true, then why would any pastor, any leader, or any Christian ignore it? “To ignore evil is to become accomplice to it.” – Martin Luther King, Jr.

If those children are influenced in a sexual manner, and if even one of them gets molested because of the precedent set at this library, we will not only become guilty of doing nothing to stop it, but we will become accomplice to it. It’s as if to say that our inaction is approval, our approval is the act of molestation itself, and the guilt is upon our heads.

For every moment we do nothing, the enemy will do everything in his power to gain ground doing something. So, can we even be considered godly men and women if we know this is trying to come into our city and we choose to do nothing to stop it? No! On the contrary, the Word of God says, “Therefore, to one who knows the right thing to do and does not do it, to him it is sin.” James 4:17 (NASB)

Where are the pastors? Where is your pastor? Is your pastor silent on this issue? If so, ask them why. Ask them where their love is for the children who will be influenced by sexual confusion. Will they be convicted in their hearts to do the right thing? Will they take a stand? Are you praying for your pastor to hear from the Lord about this issue? (I am praying that a holy conviction rests on the heart of every pastor, every leader, and every believer in this city. I pray that you are convicted and not offended by this article.) And where are the Christians from the 300 churches in this city? Where is our righteous indignation? Will the believers stand up to stop this?

“Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.” – (Origin unknown, but attributed to;) Martin Luther King, Jr.

We must take a stand for justice and righteousness, “Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.” Eph 6:13 (NIV)

“The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.” – Edmund Burke

We can no longer be “on the fence” with this issue, for; “He who is not with Me is against Me; and he who does not gather with Me scatters.” Matt. 12:30 (NASB) So stand up for these little ones. Stand up before it is too late for them. “Then he will answer them, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.” Matt. 25:45 (CSB)

How could anyone who loves God not stand against this injustice against children? How can anyone sit back and ignore it?

You can’t. We can’t. We all must stand.

Above all.

Stand.

“When you look for the Devil, never fail to look to the pulpit” quote from Adrian Rogers in the sermon “The Strange Mystery of the Counterfeit Christian” speaking on the parable in Matthew chapter 13. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xbIO8_CYr2M&t=0s

Incrementalism has been a tactic of those wanting to change society be that Feminism, Homosexual, witchcraft, pedophilia, drug abuse, transgender groups, gambling, pornography, destruction of faith, family, jobs, history, gender you name it.

Unfortunately, some of those “leaders” this article references were the same leaders that wouldn’t do anything when others warned what was coming years back.
See No Evil, Hear No Evil, just leave them out of it. I’m not just talking religious leaders but local area “leaders” in general.

Personally, do what YOU can do. If you financially support someone that controls an organization that does nothing, then consider removing your support. FOP? Fire Department? Library? School corporation? Political office, News Media? People should use the opportunity to not smile at news personalities and owners but tell them what you think. Local radio, tv whatever.

As far as doing something, put a bumper sticker on your car, put a sign in your car window, even if it is cardboard saying something about your opposition. Park it at the most visible place you can. Complain at every board meeting connected to do nothing public servants or leaders and do it wisely. Think everything through and make sure not to fall into legal traps. Record everything and know how to invoke your rights.

Many years ago I heard a man say ” when we accept homosexuality as the way God made us, pediphiles would say they should be accepted for the same reason. I thought he was overreacting. Not any more, I fear for our children. Lord please heal our nation and our values.

  6. This is an attack of Satan to try and “normalize” this behavior to our younger generation. It has elements of both homosexuality and pedophilia. Society has thrown the value of life and children to the wolves for self-gratification. There is an organization called B4Uact working to revise the definition of pedophilia in the DSM (manual used by mental health providers to diagnose psychiatric illnesses), and possibly “normalize” it and make it more socially acceptable. Pastors and Christians in general need to speak up, tell the truth of God’s Word. Yes, God loves these men & women, but He also will judge them if they refuse to submit to obey his Word…remember Sodom & Gomorrah? He will judge Christians as well for remaining aloof, uninvolved, and refusing to confront this. Let’s call it what it is…SIN.
